H Αction "Teatime Europe" σε σκηνοθεσία Γιώργου Ζαμπουλάκη που κινηματογραφήθηκε με το Ερευνητικό Θέατρο Θράκης στο Δέλτα του Έβρου ποταμού στα σύνορα Ελλάδας-Τουρκίας αποτελεί μέρος της εθνικής Eλληνικής συμμετοχής στην Prague Quadrennial 2015 Παγκόσμια Έκθεση Παραστατικών Τεχνών, η οποία διοργανώνεται κάθε 4 χρόνια στην Πράγα: http://www.pq.cz/en/ με περισσότερες από 80 χώρες και 12.000 καλλιτέχνες να συμμετέχουν από όλον τον κόσμο. Η εθνική ελληνική συμμετοχή τελεί υπό την αιγίδα:
- της Ελληνικής Εθνικής Επιτροπής για την UNESCO του Εκπαιδευτικού Επιστημονικού και Πολιτιστικού Οργανισμού Ηνωμένων Εθνών,
- της Ένωσης Σκηνογράφων και Ενδυματολόγων Ελλάδος
- του Πανελληνίου Επιστημονικού Συλλόγου Θεατρολόγων
και την υποστήριξη του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού, Παιδείας & Θρησκευμάτων.
Η Αction "Teatime Europe", ειδικά, συμμετέχει στην Πράγα και με την υποστήριξη του Δήμου Αλεξανδρούπολης.
Η συγκεκριμένη Έκθεση αποτελεί το κορυφαίο γεγονός στην Τέχνη και από το 1967 που πραγματοποιείται, θεωρείται στο επίπεδο της Τέχνης αντίστοιχη σε σπουδαιότητα με τους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες.

The Action Teatime Europe took place on the July 29th,2014 at the Delta of the Evros River, at the border between Greece and Turkey.
The Evros river is one of the main gates of entrance for people seeking asylum in Europe.
Every day, thousands of desperate human beings are getting arrested, imprisoned, deported -or lose their lives- trying to get away from the insanity of starvation, poverty, violence and war.
The Experimental Theater of Thrace with Action participates in the dialogue on this issue, that is one of the most important problems of contemporary Europe, bringing forth hospitality and the acceptance of the alterity of the other, as supreme human values.

“Tea-Time Europe”

“Tea-Time Europe” is a moving reminder of the thousands of undocumented immigrants who lose their lives, most of them at sea, in their quest for a better life in Europe--and the often less than sympathetic reaction to the tragedy in the advanced democracies.
We are reminded of Thrace's proximity to Turkey--and the heavy flow of immigrants, virtually all of them undocumented, many of them youngsters, childen and even babies through Thrace en route to other European destinations.
The immigrants are seeking a better life than the poverty, neglect, violence and abuse they often experience in their native countries.
And what of the vast numbers of people, particularly Syrians and Iraqis, who have been forced from their homes as refugees, now living in tents and dependent on charity for food, water, and other necessities?
Opposite the humanitarian side are the political and economic realities. Chief among the political realities is the issue of acculturation: is the immigrant disposed to adopt the values and institutions--and of course learn the language --of his/her host country. This raises the issue of multiculturalism: the idea that all cultures are equally valid.
The economic realities surround the lack of preparation of the large majority of undocumented immigrants. It leaves them vulnerable to work in prostitution, drugs, and petty crime--or to lowest paying jobs in agriculture or services, where they will compete with documented immigrants and poor citizens.
And while the vast majorities are likely to fall short of their aspirations, they will almost surely do better than they would have in their native country.
On the other hand, particularly in the case of the refugees, a sense of human solidarity should guide the actions of governments and individuals. There are no simple answers to the questions posed by “Tea-Time Europe.”
The thousands of emigrants who have lost their lives in overcrowded, unsafe vessels are the tragic object of the Experimental Theater of Thrace’s production of “Tea-Time Europe,” which trenchantly underscores the less than sympathetic reaction of many Europeans--and indeed many people in affluent countries around the world--to the wholesale loss of life, and more broadly to the plight of emigrants from Third World countries.
The feelings guided by a sense of human solidarity--are evoked by the Greek folk song of a mother of a young emigrant, sung in Greek at the end of “Tea-Time Europe”.
